Chad and Andy return to the river and present the 12th Annual Float on the Flat. As we settle into summer, we celebrate this historic tradition that has been passed on by our forefathers. It's a tradition rich with fellowship, natural beauty, cans of pringles, strength, unsalted peanuts, and most importantly, beer. Come float with us!

The History of the Float

Here's everything you need to know to join in
Two young men with a dream, one river, and a cooler full of beer.

In 2007, good pals Chad & Andy wrestled with the notion of combining their two passions of maritime exploration and beer drinking into one glorious event to share with the world. After countless sleepless nights and numerous days of actual wrestling, their efforts came into fruition as the “Float on the Flat” was conceived. Held every summer, this event has seen many adventurers seeking refuge in the chilled waters of the Flat River, searching for universal wisdom, battling epics schools of carp, and drinking enough Labatt Blue Light to get the leaches drunk. While they would like to keep the experience solely to themselves, governmental property restrictions and mounting public pressure have made that an impossibility. Therefore, Chad & Andy have opened up their event to any and all who are willing to brave the mighty waters and desire to play a pivotal role in the next chapter in the ‘Float on the Flat’ saga....
